You’ll have the opportunity to review the design, request changes, and approve the final layout before we move into construction planning and project layout.

During the layout phase, we take the approved pool design and construction plans and mark the exact shape and size of your future pool directly in your backyard. This gives you a clear view of how the pool will fit within your outdoor space before excavation begins.
At this stage, you’ll be able to walk the layout, review the positioning, and make any final adjustments to the size, shape, or placement of the pool. Our goal is to make sure everything feels right and works well with your home, yard, and overall vision before we break ground.
Once the layout phase is approved, we begin the excavation process using professional equipment to dig your pool and spa according to the exact dimensions in the construction plans. This is where your backyard starts taking shape and the vision begins to come to life.
Our team carefully follows the approved design to ensure the depth, size, and layout are prepared properly for the next stage of construction, including forms and rebar installation.
We use wood forms and rebar to create the detail and exact shape for your design. Together the forms and rebar create the framework and high structural integrity of your pool.
During the electrical and plumbing phase, we install the systems that keep your pool running safely and efficiently. Plumbing lines are placed throughout the pool and spa system, then pressure tested and inspected to ensure everything is working properly before moving forward.
Our team also installs the electrical components needed for pool equipment, lighting, and features while following all required city and state codes.
During the gunite phase, high pressure hoses are used to apply concrete to the pool structure, creating the strong inner shell of your new swimming pool and spa. This process forms the final shape and structure of the pool based on the approved design plans.
Once the gunite is complete, you’ll be able to clearly see the size, depth, curves, and overall look of your future pool as it starts coming to life in your backyard.
During the masonry and stone phase, your pool begins to take on its final character and style. This is where features like waterfalls, grottos, jumping rocks, and custom stone details are carefully built to bring your backyard vision to life.
You’ll have the opportunity to choose from different stone styles, boulder sizes, and design elements to create a look that fits your home and outdoor space. Our team carefully installs each feature to add both beauty and functionality to your pool.
During the decking and patio phase, we begin building the outdoor living space surrounding your new pool. This area is designed for both comfort and style, creating the perfect space for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying your backyard.
You’ll have several finish options to choose from, including textured concrete, stained concrete, Sundek coatings, and custom flagstone. This is also the stage where outdoor features like fireplaces, fire pits, fountains, and summer kitchens are installed to complete your outdoor space.
During the plaster phase, the final interior finish is applied to your swimming pool, giving it its smooth surface, color, and finished appearance. This step seals the pool interior and makes the structure water tight.
You’ll have a variety of plaster colors and finish options to choose from to match the overall style of your backyard. Once applied to the gunite shell, the plaster is carefully hand troweled to create a smooth and beautiful finish throughout the pool.
During the pool school phase, we walk you through the basics of operating and caring for your new swimming pool. Our team will explain the start up process, equipment functions, water care, and routine maintenance so you feel comfortable managing your pool with confidence.
